Organ Series 2012-2013

The Manton Memorial Organ
built by Pascal Quoirin of St. Didier, France

The inauguration of this magnificent instrument in 2011 generated extraordinary excitement throughout the organ world. The Manton Memorial Organ is by general consensus one of the most important organs of our time. And the amazing range of the instrument is evident to all: from the poetic, haunting flute and string stops to the thunderous tones of the bombardes and trompettes-en-chamade. This season we continue our celebration of this amazing instrument with recitals by three of the preeminent organists in the world.

". . . a magnificent French-built instrument. . ." "Cascades of sound, virtuosity and power were majestically conveyed and enhanced by the kaleidoscopic timbres of the instrument [The Manton Memorial Organ by Pascal Quoirin]."
