Marissa Gil - Associate Intern

Marissa Gil is Voices of Ascension’s 2023-2024 Associate Intern, as part of the CUNY Cultural Corps program. She is a college student majoring in Media Studies at Queens College. Currently living in New York City, she is learning about broadcast communications and various entertainment industries. Through her classes she has acquired skills in filmmaking, music production, and marketing. She plays acoustic guitar and has taken vocal lessons for 2 years at Further Music School located in Queens, NY. Although studying media, she aspires to be a musician and work in the music industry. She hopes to gain experience in the art of live performances and further her education on music composition. She enjoys going to concerts, attending the theater, shopping at book stores and searching for vinyls at record shops. In her free time she also takes knitting classes, reads horror novels, and plays video games.
