Voices of Connection: A look ahead — Josquin des Prez — El Grillo

We are diligently preparing for our exciting 2022-23 season and cannot wait to have you back with us. While we prepare, we hope you'll join us on August 24th at the Dag Hammarskjöld Plaza for our Voices Outdoors Series. We're looking ahead towards a season filled with some of choral music's greatest works.

Today’s selection comes from a June 2022 performance at the Untermyer Garden in Yonkers, and the delightful “El Grillo” (“The Cricket”), by 16th-century master Josquin des Prez. This madrigal is one of the many nature-themed selections that the Voices of Ascension singers will perform at our free concert on August 24 at the Dag Hammarskjöld Plaza.
