ARIEL RAMÍREZ: MISA CRIOLLA - AGNUS DEI

A few months back, listener Nancy Pasley requested a work by Argentine composer Ariel Ramírez (1921-2010). We chose the "Gloria" from his most famous work the Misa Criolla, a mass for tenor, chorus, and orchestra, based on folk genres with Andean influences and instruments. Today we share the hauntingly beautiful "Agnus Dei" from the same mass, sung here by the great operatic tenor José Carreras. Thanks again for the request, Nancy!
