IN HONOR OF ERNEST BLOCH, BORN ON THIS DAY IN 1880

Last year, we opened our 30th Anniversary Virtual Season with a new offering: Music With the Maestro, a live Zoom series with Artistic Director Dennis Keene. Through this new series, audience members deepen their appreciation for musical works as Dennis shares recorded excerpts and behind-the-scenes insights and stories. Our first episode of Music With the Maestro featured Ernest Bloch's Sacred Service (a work very dear to Dennis) and here we have one of the most beautiful pieces from this work, but we'll let him tell you about it himself.
