Voices of Connection: 06/19 Talk About a Child

Today is Juneteenth, the commemoration of the end of legalized slavery in the United States. For today’s musical selection, we are pleased to share this wonderful performance by soprano Brandie Sutton from an event we hosted this past May at the Fabbri Mansion.

Brandie writes: “My grandmother was someone I admired profoundly. She is the very reason I’m a musician today. Not only was she remarkably talented but she was a woman of faith. It was her love for the Creator that inspired me to sing this piece. It is because of Mary Inez Lang Booth and countless before her that enable me to stand wherever I can and thus continuing to sing for their honor.” – Brandie Sutton, Soprano
