Voices of Connection: 06/26 Pride Weekend - Aaron Copland
We celebrate this Pride Weekend with music from the LGBTQ+ community. Today, our music features one of the most beloved songs by the great American gay composer, Aaron Copland. This beautiful performance was made by baritone William Parker, who performed with Voices many times in our early years. He was an exceptional singer and artist, and one of our many gay brothers who succumbed to the AIDS crisis. I was honored to participate in his memorial concert which took place at the Church of the Ascension.
