In March, the Young People’s Chorus of New York City partnered with Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts to honor those lost to the pandemic in a memorial tribute performance of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s classic, “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” The video, filmed outdoors on Lincoln Center’s campus, was released on March 14, the official day of remembrance for New York City’s COVID-19 victims, which marked the one-year anniversary of the city’s first-reported virus-related death. I created this arrangement for piano and mixed chorus with my wife Elizabeth.
