Voices of Connection: 10/07 James Bassi: Quem Pastores Laudavere
This piece is technically a Christmas piece, but it sounds beautiful all year long. James’s haunting melody and the wonderful variations which follow are so immediately appealing, that this could well be his single most famous work. I know that choirs all around the world sing it. This recording you hear today was the World Premiere with Voices of Ascension.
This evening, I'll be joining James for an event presented by NYU's Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò. We'll share more about our work together and you can also get a sneak peek of his newest score for the Broadway musical, “The Red Carpet.” RSVP for the event here.
