Voices of Connection: 04/16 William Byrd: Sing Joyfully

William Byrd was the greatest British composer of the late Renaissance, and just maybe the greatest British composer ever. He wrote a huge body of choral music, some of it profound, timeless. He also composed brilliant, virtuoso pieces: this is his best-known one. It is so enchanting to listen to and so much fun to sing, the Voices and I often perform it as an encore at our Renaissance concerts.
