Our Voices family lost one of our most beloved members on Wednesday, mezzo BJ Fredricks, to cancer. She was a core member of our group for many, many years, a consummate artist with one of the most beautiful voices we’ve ever had – such a warm but clear timbre. She was the “glue” that pulled all the other altos together. So, it was a musical loss for us. But, even deeper was the loss of one of the most special persons we will ever come across. As an ensemble of human beings, we deeply mourn the passing of our dear friend and send love and condolences to her partner of many years, Wende Persons, a Voices Board member.
