Voices of Connection: 05/15 Fauré Requiem: “Libera me” and “In Paradisum”

The beloved Requiem of Gabriel Fauré has been a signature work of Voices since our very first concert. A “new fan” of our series, Tom Byrne, asked for the “Libera Me” – the single overtly dramatic movement of the piece (which features the superlative bass-baritone Evan Hughes). And our long-time friend James Bingham requested the sublime “In Paradisum.” Jim writes movingly about this final movement, “They are not lost. They are there with our best angels. Embraced by love.” Thanks, Tom and Jim for requesting these beautiful pieces!
