Voices of Connection: 06/19 Juneteenth

In celebration of the day the Emancipation Proclamation was finally put into effect – June 19, 1865 – we again feature the exceptional Moses Hogan. He was the most important arranger of spirituals in our period of history and built one of the greatest professional choruses in the world. Recently we played one of his beautiful, deeply felt arrangements. Today I wanted you to get a glimpse at the amazing virtuosity of this great chorus. What fabulous voices he had in his group and how incredibly nimble they were. This is a celebration of a truly great chorus.
