Inspired by this comment from our friend Barbaralee Diamonstein-Speilvogel, today's post is a Mozart quintet from The Magic Flute. Just after 4 minutes into this 6-minute excerpt, Mozart gives us one of his astonishingly simple shifts to sublime beauty, sung by the Three Ladies, a glorious women's trio that prefigures our Astronautica trio by several centuries!
