Voices of Connection: 05/27 Purcell: Sound the Trumpet
Something different today! Instead of a choral piece, I thought it would be great fun to play the terrific duet we had in January at our Baroque concert. Yes, Purcell’s Sound the Trumpet is famous and captivating. But its success depends on who sings it. We couldn’t have been more fortunate to have the fabulous pairing of Daniel Moody and Clifton Massey. They obviously were having a great time singing the piece, and what extravagant and totally joyous ornaments they threw in! Thanks, Daniel and Clifton, for the smiles you bring to our faces!
