We begin our 11-day celebration with a piece which isn’t specific to any religion – it’s appropriate for all! After all, the text is simply, “Alleluia. Amen.” What makes this special for us today is that the Cantor Lori Corrsin had our recording of this piece paired with a gorgeous video made by the crew at Temple Emanu-El on Fifth Avenue at 65th Street for a virtual sermon she gave some months ago. Lori sang with Voices years ago, and is currently Cantor Emeritus at Emanu-El. This famous temple has one of the finest temple choirs in the world – which includes several of our Voices singers. The video shows many of the exceptionally beautiful artistic details of that great edifice. – Dennis Keene
