Voices of Connection: 04/21 Jerome Kern: All the Things You Are

Good morning! We have a surprise for you today – something rather different than what you’ve heard before on this series! During the mid-1990s when our Delos recordings were found all across the country, Delos asked us to do “a cross-over album” – a classical group doing non-classical music. We came up with an album of the timeless songs of Jerome Kern. All the things you are has to be one of the greatest American songs of all time and a personal favorite. I am not a composer or arranger at all! But this arrangement of mine turned out really well: it serves the song well and displays gorgeous choral textures. Enjoy!
