Voices of Connection: 09/27 Kol Nidre

One of the most beautiful services of the Jewish High Holidays occurs on the night before Yom Kippur (The Day of Atonement.) It is here that the Kol Nidre is sung by the Cantor. This video is from 2012 and comes from Central Synagogue on Lexington and 55th Street. It is so beautifully sung here by Cantor Angela Buchdahl. She was the first Asian American to be ordained as cantor or rabbi in North America. She now serves that Synagogue as Senior Rabbi. In this video the choir includes long-time members of Voices. This year they, and the current Cantor, Daniel Mutlu, have pre-recorded the Kol Nidre so that it can be streamed tonight.
